'We hope to have one more child,' reveals David Beckham as he piggybacks his son through choppy waters on boys' day out

Ready, son?: David Beckham lifts son Brooklyn on his back as a large wave rolls towards them in the ocean at Malibu yesterday

David Beckham has revealed he and wife Victoria aren't done with having children and would like one more baby.

The LA Galaxy star, 36, and wife Victoria became parents for the fourth time when baby daughter Harper was born earlier this month.

The couple also have three sons - Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six - and he was recently asked if they want another baby.

He said: 'We've always said we'd love a big family and five was a number. If we're lucky enough, then we hope to have one more.'

David yesterday left his wife and daughter to bond as he took his boys for a swim in the surf near their new rented home in Malibu.

At one point the statuesque midfielder gave his eldest boy a piggy back - one that hoisted his son well above a fierce wave.

The pair have enjoyed several boogie-board sessions in the surf since the family moved into the $150,000 a month house, which is owned by director Steven Spielberg.

The Beckhams' youngest son Cruz could be seen watching the action enviously from the beach, where he was safely away from any marine-based danger.

Let me have a go!: Little Cruz is still too small to join in the potentially dangerous activity

Though it was clear to see from the look on the young scamp's face that he'll be out as soon as he is able, Romeo, who is following his mother's footsteps in the fashion stakes, seemed happier to stay on dry land.

The Beckham boys were joined by friends for the afternoon of fun, though mummy Victoria was resting at home with daughter Harper Seven, who was born on July 10.

David must be thankful to have three boys to play rough and tumble with, given that he said recently that he's learning to be more 'delicate' with his newborn daughter.

'Having a daughter is a whole new thing... you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than with boys and I'm not used to that.

'So it's a whole new experience but it's an amazing experience,' he said in a video post on his Facebook page.

He's clearly smitten with the first female child in his family, and couldn't resist taking an intimate photograph of his wife and daughter as they slept.

He also posted the touching picture on Facebook, gushing, 'I took this picture of my two girls sleeping...'

His fashion designer wife posted a similar snap on her Twitter page with the caption, 'Daddy's little girl!'

In the shot, David is shown giving an eskimo kiss to his little girl, who is wrapped up in a blanket and wearing a tiny hat.

If more proof is needed that he's besotted, he's also had her name stitched on to his pink football boots; pink to honour his 'girl', of course.
